I am in LOVE with this newborn session! In part because this sweet girl's mama is a college sorority sister of mine:). This family recently moved to Atlanta from Texas and I was thrilled to know that they were here but even more so to know that a friend from college (that I thought so highly of) would be close to me! I was beyond honored to be asked to photograph this beautiful family and their addition of newborn Hannah. With twin older siblings and a new baby, I was so impressed and enthralled by the way Sarah and Erik related to each other and their sweet children. Anyone who knows them would be blessed to call them friends...what an amazing family! We had a perfect newborn session, and spent lots of time catching up in between poses, I cannot begin to describe how wonderful this day was. What an honor to photograph this new addition! It's always flattering to photograph a tiny newborn but when I'm able to do this for one of my closest friends, I can't even describe how I feel during these sessions. Newborn JM3 is the son of one of my lifelong best friends and now his daddy is one of my husband's good friends. So wonderful how that happens, right?? We have been beyond thrilled for their new addition, and knew that big sister Lainey would be so excited about a LITTLE BROTHER! This lovely little guy has my heart and it was all my pleasure to drive to Alabama for his very special newborn portrait session. We had a wonderful day together and little JM3 was so easy going and sleep that we were able to get ever pose possible with a newborn! The H family met me at this historic, unique bridge and park for their annual family photos and we had a wonderful evening together. This sweet, sweet family is so special to me! I met them after their son was born and I photographed him as a newborn, at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and at 1 year. A year or so passes and I hear that they are expecting a baby girl! We scheduled a fresh 48 hospital session and her newborn photos. And omigoodness, the images and our time together were incredible.

Flash forward to this fall and miss Vivian is 6 months old! We met for these photos at this family's new, custom built home. Can I just say that it was gorgeous? Vivian's nursery was beautiful so we had to get a few photos of the little miss there and then we moved out onto their property for some yummy golden light outdoor images.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this family. I "met" Natalia through our gym although we were never there at the same time! After scheduling our session, we figured out that her youngest and my oldest go to the same preschool. Small world! So much in common before we even met and our evening together was delightful! Once we met, we continued to hit it off and found even more connections and similar interests as we talked.

We met on a November evening at one of my favorite, unique Atlanta locations. The H family was adorably coordinated and were all so natural in front of the camera. We did a bit of walking on the boardwalk and then found a fun spot for the boys to throw leaves on our way back to our cars. I think we captured a nice variety of classic family images as well as a few that show the fun they have together and the love they have for one another.

When a photographer contacts you about portraits of his family, this is the highest compliment! Not only is Charles a talented photographer himself, his wife Kristen is a self proclaimed critic of photography. You can only imagine my excitement when I heard from them about a family session this fall. I have seen beautiful portraits hung on the walls of their home and posted on their Facebook profiles, so I was beyond thrilled to be asked to document their family this year.

We decided to meet at the historic Roswell bridge at golden hour. Our session was pushed back by all the rain this fall, but that's beside the point. We scheduled a new time and it couldn't have been more perfect...we pretty much had Vickery Park all to ourselves! 

With a family of 6 (3 of those being young boys) you would expect crazinesss! But no, this family was AMAZING. The boys were so well behaved, cooperative, and handsome, I couldn't have asked for more. Little miss Lillian, the S family's sweet baby, was beautiful, smiley, too adorable, and the star of the day.

I could not have asked for a more perfect family to photograph on this fall evening! I am flattered and honored, more than I can say, to have been able to capture your family this year, S family! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together...

This is a very special family that my husband has known since his childhood days in Northern Virginia. I've meet Susan a few times since she moved down to Atlanta, so I was thrilled when she contacted me this summer about an extended family session for the fall! This was the first time I got to meet the grandparents and they were so much fun. There's also something special about photographing a family that your family has known for so long. It was a lovely evening.

Susan and her husband, Chris, welcomed their baby girl Allison this summer. What an adorable little doll baby! She gave us the cutest smiles with dimples big blue eyes and all kinds of preciousness. I LOVED photographing her and all the people who love her at her grandparents home in Avondale Estates. This cutie pie 3 year old and his family joined me for my annual fall mini sessions. I was so excited that they signed up because I hadn't seen them in over a year back when we attended church together. I very clearly remember that little Ethan was a super sweet and well behaved little boy and he had not changed a bit! He was the most adorable little guy on this evening at Barrington Hall, he turned up the charm and grins 100%, and went along with ANYTHING we asked him to do. One of my favorite things about what I do is photographing families as their children grow. This is one of those families and I consider it such a joy to work with them in particular. I first met the Wells when "Little Bear" was just 8 days new and absolutely loved them from the first minute. We always have so much to talk about and all 3 are naturals in front of the camera.

This year we met at the Big Creek Greenway and walked to a little spot where I like to take families. The trees were just beginning to turn and although the mosquitos were downright evil (lol) the light was perfect on this evening. There is so much love in this family and it was so special for me to have the opportunity to capture the Wells again this year. Thank you Jackie and Matt for another beautiful session! I just love when everything works out for a family's portraits. This extended family scheduled a time for us to get together when their grandfather would be in town. With all the rain we've had lately it was a bit of a worry what kind of day we might get. But we had the most PERFECT sunny evening for their session, they were perfectly coordinated and the location was an excellent choice by them.

As I said in my Facebook sneak peek for them, this family had so much fun joking and laughing with one another during the evening. To me, this shows how much they appreciate one another and I hope that genuine happiness comes through in these images. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this family. And WOW how beautiful are they?? Not only are mom and dad exceptional in every way, they have three absolutely precious babies. Littles T, S, and C have grown so much since I last saw them on their baptism day.  I could not get over their cuteness then so you can imagine how thrilled I was to hear from their mama about a family session this fall! Each baby has already started to develop a distinct personality and I loved hearing about and even witnessing some of the new things they're doing.

We met at one of my favorite locations, Lullwater Park in Decatur, on a gorgeous evening and took some photos by the lake and in a nice open field. Next, we moved to their home for an image on the front steps of their perfectly beautiful Decatur home. Enjoy this overload of adorableness that is the d family!

Perfection. That is the best way to describe this golden hour session with the Garcias. I am always so honored when my friends ask me to capture their families and I am thrilled when everything turns out as perfectly as this evening did. I last photographed this family a couple years ago in a different setting but they were just as amazing.

The perfect golden light, a beautiful family, perfectly dressed, and genuine interactions made this evening so special. 4 year old Olivia is one of our Jack's best friends and you can see how absolutely ADORABLE this little girl is. As a photographer, I get to witness many precious occasions with the families that I meet. These times are even more special when I'm asked to photograph a good friend's special moments. That's exactly what this session was for me. My good friend gave birth to her second child, a precious baby boy, and invited me to her home to capture their new family of four and baby R's newborn portraits. Big sister, who I photographed at 2 years old, was so proud of her baby and loved getting to hold and kiss him in their pictures together. Little man R was as precious as he could be and I am loving all of his newborn portraits, especially that I had a chance to use the newborn Braves hat again! After you've chosen the date for your photo session and your family's perfectly coordinating outfits, what's next? Location! This can be hard to choose but no matter the spot, I assure you that your images will be amazing. The most important thing is that YOU are in them. Location is secondary but can also help set the mood or vibe that you're going for with these portraits. I met this amazing family almost four years ago. I can't say enough about how wonderful and welcoming they are to everyone they meet. This session happened because the kids knew how much their mom needed family photos so this was their gift for mother's day. How perfect was this to forever capture their extended family at this point in time?? My good friend Amanda, who's little family I have photographed many times from newborn to family portraits, is one of the daughters that organized this and I am so grateful for her friendship and how her family has made me feel so included every time I am around them. Each member of the S family has so much contagious personality and joy that you can't help but love life when you're around them. I love photographing big families! This one was no exception. Melissa and I became fast friends through church and boys love playing together. She loves taking photos of her kids so I was honored that she asked me to do their family portraits this year! Because I know how important images are to her<3

We met on a warm december afternoon at a park in johns creek. I love the lighting in this field and we got some pretty amazing images of their family of 6. One reason big families are so fun because they always have the best time together...joking and laughing and teasing one another. All of that happened on this evening!

Another awesome family Christmas card photo session. I love that they wanted to bring along doggie and he did so well for the family images with him! This family was so much fun and chose red and black for their wardrobe (for UGA of course!) and they were a pleasure to photograph. Big brother and big sister were so sweet with their baby, you can see how much they adore her from these images.

My beautiful friend, Sarah, contacted me after finding out the gender of her baby and wanted to do a special photo shoot for Van, Sarah and Chad's son. I was instantly excited about this idea and knew how sweet Van has been about his mommy being pregnant and wanting to know if his sibling would be a boy or a girl. I couldn't wait to witness the big reveal!

It's a girl!!!! Van was adorable and giddy with excitement over his soon to be baby sister! I couldn't be more thrilled for my sweet friend and her family. This baby girl is so blessed to have  a big brother like Van and such awesome parents, too:) Thank you, Chad and Sarah, for letting me be part of the big reveal!

Little Maddox's session was just perfect! After our initial booking contact, we figured out that we have lots of mutual connections so I was very excited to meet this family. They were just as wonderful as I expected!

Big brother Logan and big sister Grace were as adorable as they could be. Logan told me all kinds of stories like we had known each other forever and sweet Grace snuggled in my lap during one of Maddox's feeding breaks. Not only that, but they were so proud of their new baby brother. I loved getting to know Erin and Paul and learning more about them.

I can't say enough great things about this session and the beautiful family that you'll see here. I just love newborn sessions and this one was so much fun. And you will not believe how amazing this momma looks, just 8 days after giving birth! I'm so impressed.

Chelsey was a sorority sister of mine at Samford and she and her husband recently moved to Atlanta and to open their own location of Iron Tribe Fitness. I loved catching up with her, meeting her husband Chaz, hearing about their new business and of course, photographing their beautiful new addition Nora! Such a special family.

Nora was an absolute angel during our session. She slept, let us pose her sweetly, and took snuggle and eating breaks with mommy and daddy and then was ready to get back to work! I just love how the images turned out from our session.
